The grey clouds that had filled the skies all morning started to thin out, the temperature started to rise, and by one o’clock the sun was shining brightly.

Ken Birkby and Ellen Dyer Crowned as Coronation King and Queen!

After Sunday afternoon’s Coronation Celebration on the Playing Fields, the focus moved that evening to The Crown. Glynn and Tracy, both resplendent in Union Flag shirts, served up masses of pints and pizzas.

The key event was the crowning of Ken Birkby and Ellen Dyer as Village King and Queen respectively. Both were elected by residents for making the biggest contribution to the village. Warm congratulations to our two “monarchs”!
