Nurseryland Comes to Cuddington

For the 2007 Fête, Humpty Dumpty (another wonderful Dave Speer creation) sat on his wall on the Upper Green and villagers were encouraged to dress up in costumes of nurseryland characters.  The costumes were judged by the Penguins, with the winning boy and girl being carried to the Bernard Hall in the dickie of a vintage Austin 7.

A steel band played outside Tyringham Hall, Charles Sanderson conjured up a special rum punch and CYD performed songs from its recent production of Return to the Forbidden Planet.

Proceeds of £4,607 were distributed to the various village organisations.
